[Staffing and forecast](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/en/for-planners-and-team-leads?hsLang=en#staffing-and-forecast) # Viewing staffing and adjusting it per day ## Check whether enough people are scheduled and adjust the required staffing for a single date, for example during a promotion. Staffing tells you how many people you need per skill and per 15 minutes. On the Staffing page, you adjust that for a single date without changing your fixed standard. ### Staffing template, staffing and forecast - Staffing template: your fixed standard. A minimum and maximum number of people per skill, per weekday and per 15 minutes (see [Setting up staffing templates](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/en/setting-up-staffing-templates?hsLang=en)). - Staffing per date: an exception for one day on the **Staffing** page. What you enter here overrides the staffing template and any calculated forecast. - Forecast: Teamlead calculates the required staffing from telephony data, via a staffing source (see [Forecast: required staffing from telephony data](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/en/forecast-required-staffing-from-telephony-data?hsLang=en)). The schedule, the staffing bar and Automatically fill use the staffing that applies on that date. ### Viewing staffing in the schedule - The staffing bar is above the schedule. For each 15-minute slot, a colour shows whether there are enough people. - Click a 15-minute slot to see the status per skill. Red is understaffed, yellow is overstaffed. - Then click a skill. Teamlead looks for solutions (**Option 1**, **Option 2**). Click an option and save the schedule. - At the bottom of the schedule, the **Total** row counts the number of scheduled people per 15 minutes. ### Adjusting staffing for a single date 1. Go to **Staffing** and choose the date. 2. Fill in **Min:** and **Max:** at the bottom of the page. 3. Drag across the 15-minute cells of the skill. You can also right-click a block, adjust the numbers and choose **Apply**. 4. Click **Save** and confirm with **Save**. You see **Saved successfully**. Need the same adjustment on more days? Choose **Copy day** in the actions menu, fill in **From date** and **To date(s)** and then click **Save**. Existing data on those dates is overwritten. ![The Staffing page with the targets per skill and Min, Max and Painting at the bottom](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/hubfs/kennisbank/bezetting-en.png?v=20261020f) ### Good to know - The **Staffing** page is for administrators only. - The colour of a cell shows the requirement, from **No requirement set** to **High staffing need**. - **Clear** (right-click a block) removes the min and max from that block. On that date there is then no requirement there, even if the staffing template has one. Want to go back to the staffing template? Then enter the same numbers as in the staffing template. - A lightning icon after a skill means the requirement comes from telephony data. Click it to see the calculation in **Calls** or **Employees needed**. - You can undo with Ctrl+Z (Mac: Cmd+Z). - Need someone just once, for example around the 20th of the month? Put one person in the staffing on that date. - On a phone, switch on **Edit** first; otherwise you only scroll. ### Not working? - Is phone no longer counted from a certain week onwards? Then the loaded call data has run out. Temporarily enter a number yourself on **Staffing** and see [Phone no longer counts towards staffing](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/en/phone-no-longer-counts-towards-staffing?hsLang=en). - Is your adjustment not saved? Check whether a staffing template applies on that date (see [Setting up staffing templates](https://kennisbank.teamlead.io/en/setting-up-staffing-templates?hsLang=en)).
